It was eventually decided that they would focus on a new patch, 1.1.1 to fix these issues, but that also meant that LRG would have to wait yet again since they obviously want to ship 1.1.1 on it instead of 1.1.0.Īnd this is where we are now. Originally, the plan was to ship the LRG release with the 1.1.0 update on it meaning that work would have started around the second half of 2020, but what happened is towards the end of the beta, we kept finding critical issues that would have been a disaster to have them ship so it kept resetting QA testing for console and we estimate that it added up to 1.5 months of delay to the release of 1.1.0 which is why it took so long.Īfter this though, the devs took a well deserved break and could handle some IRL stuff (like one of the devs was stuck at another country due to covid and they could finally move back home) while at the same time, 1.1.0 had some annoying issues remaining that people reported, some of these are softlocks. If you want a convincing answer, the dev straight up said in the discord yesterday as of this post: "I want to confirm that it's happening but please be patient, it'll be announced when it is".Īs for why it's taking so long, I happened to have been an active beta tester for the 1.1 update (see credits in game) so I can answer why.
